Karen Dang was born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri. She has been sketching clothing since she was nine and got her first sewing machine when she turned 13. Karen graduated in 2015 from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design.
She finds fashion as a way to express oneself. She loves seeing an idea come to life, whether that’s a sketch, a pattern, or on a dress form. Karen has worked with major fashion brands and smaller designers. She has hands-on experience launching brands, working with private labels and overseeing product life cycle from development through production. She enjoys learning how different companies run and produce beautiful results. She is always learning and discovering new ways to improve. She wants to find a company that can help her grow in her career and as a person.
